Fort Constantine is a missile launch facility in the far north-west of the Capital Wasteland. It consists of three buildings; a Bomb Storage building, a CO Quarters house and a Personnel Offices building.

The Bomb Storage facility is locked (Very Hard), but there's a secret passage under the CO Quarters building which requires a key that can be obtained during the You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head quest. Two other keys will be needed in order to gain full access to Fort Constantine, they can both be found in the same quest. Once you have all three keys you can gain access to the fort's armory which contains a Fat Man and the T-51b Power Armor.

[edit] You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head

Main Article: You Gotta Shoot 'Em in the Head

A few years before the setting of Fallout 3, Allistair Tenpenny hired 5 mercenaries to enter Fort Constantine and retrieve a rare weapon (which is likely the Fat Man). The 5 mercenaries were Dave, Dukov, Tara, Crowley and Strayer. The mission went wrong when Feral Ghouls were found inside the facility. Tara supposedly died of a heart attack and Mister Crowley was thrown to the ghouls so the other three could escape from the facility. Mister Crowley escaped from Fort Constantine unharmed because the Feral Ghouls wont attack other Ghouls, but while he was in the fort he discovered the location of the T-51b Power Armor and became obsessed with obtaining it. However to get the Power Armor he would need the three other keys held by Dave, Dukov and Jeff Strayer's son Ted.
