Vault 92 is one the many Vaults the player can explore in the Capital Wasteland. Like all the other vaults, it was part of an experiment to see which humans could populate the Earth after a nuclear holocaust.

It is west/north west of Old Olney.

[edit] Backround

The best musicians from the New England area were invited to Vault 92 so they could preserve "musical talent" after the bombs hit. The true purpose was to create super soldiers through the effects of white noise. The majority of the vault inhabitants then went completely insane and went on a murderous rampage, killing all the inhabitants of the vault. It is likely that the Mirelurk and Mirelurk Hunters in the area took care of the surviving insane people.

[edit] Enemies and Loot

Inside the vault (depending on your level) you'll first encounter Bloatflies. When proceeding to the lower levels you will have to fight Mirelurks, Mirelurk Hunters, and in some cases even Mirelurk Kings.

However an easy way to clear them is to activate a terminal in the Living Quarters. The terminal controls the white noise, and if activated kills all the Mirelurks in the area.

Loot:

  • A Stealth Boy, Stimpak, and other ammo inside an average locked door in the Sound Testing room
  • Another Stealth Boy on the Overseer's desk
  • A Nuka-Cola Quantum on a desk in the living quarters

[edit] Agatha's Song

Agatha, a musician, will ask you to fetch her great-grandmothers violin Soil Stradivarius. If the task is completed you will be rewarded XP and a new radio station.
