The Red Racer Factory is a location within the Capital Wasteland. It is located to the northeast of the Nuka-Cola Plant. Inside the factory, you will encounter a number of Ghouls on the lower levels. As you proceed through the levels of the factory, you will encounter some Super Mutants. During engagements with the various enemies, some of your enemies head's may randomly explode. Before this happens, you will hear a beeping noise, similar to that made before a Mine explodes.

The reason behind the random exploding head is revealed when the player enters the C.E.O's office of the factory. Inside the office you will find a scientist called The Surgeon, who has been experimenting with brain implants on the various threats within the factory. The heads of the experiments are set to explode as a failsafe in the vent that an experiment breaks free from The Surgeon's control. If the player has a high enough Science Skill, you the nearby terminal which can be used to activate the failsafe for all of the experiments.

You may also find an enslaved Glowing One named Stefan. The Surgeon seems to take pride in his capture of the Ghoul.

  • A copy of Dean's Electronics is found in the first room. It is found near a toolbox sitting above the machinery.
  • A copy of D.C. Journal of Internal Medicine is found within the eastern side of the factory, near a toolbox an ammunition box. The skill book is found on top of a large machine, underneath a bucket.
  • A copy of Nikola Tesla and You is found within the C.E.O's Office. It is behind an Easy/Average locked door, on the left side of the of the Office. The skill book is lying on top of a shelf.
  • A Nuka-Cola Quantum is found within the cage in which Stefan is enslaved within.
