[edit] Backround

According to the game, Marcus wandered the Wasteland after the Master's defeat until he found a Brotherhood of Steel soldier named Jacob. Jacob was intolerant of mutants and because of this Marcus and Jacob fought for a long time. When Marcus and Jacob both realized that their efforts were going to waste, they became friends and co-founded the town of Broken Hills (which sits on a uranium mine) with the help of other refugees.

After the events of Fallout 2 he travels east to the mountains to find other super mutants the previously served for the Master. What he found or what happened is unknown.

Now in 2280 he is in the town of Jacobstown (presumably named after his friend) in the Mojave Wasteland.

[edit] Fallout 2

In Fallout 2 Marcus is a companion and the majority of the Fallout 2 fanbase regard him as the best addition to your party. He joins you after the purifier is fixed and cannot wear armor.

He can also give the Chosen One a quest, Find the missing people for Marcus.

[edit] Fallout: New Vegas

In Fallout: New Vegas Marcus resides in Jacobstown as the leader of the super mutants. He is not a companion but can upon exiting Jacobstown for the first time he'll start the Unfriendly Persuasion quest.

[edit] Notes

  • Marcus claims in-game that he is not sterile. This goes against the Fallout super mutant lore that all super mutants are sterile.
  • He is the sheriff of Broken Hills.
  • Compared to other super mutants he has a relatively smooth voice.
  • In Fallout: New Vegas, he is one of the few characters who says Caesar's name in the correct, latin pronunciation.
