Protector Henry Casdin is the leader of the Brotherhood Outcasts. Owyn Lyons thought of him as one of the best fighters for the Brotherhood of Steel. He fought side-by-side with Lyons during the scourge of The Pitt. Protector Casdin become angry with the Lyons for abandoning their mission to gather technology in favor of protecting the people of D.C. from the Super Mutant threat. This resulted in a split in the Brotherhood, with those wanting to acquire technology leaving to follow Casdin. After this, he accepted the name "Outcast" that was branded by Lyons, and began to use it as a mark of honour. The Outcast base is Fort Independence.
Casdin asks the player to bring any scavenged technology to him. The player is then rewarded for their actions.

BE CAREFUL WHEN TALKING TO PROTECTOR CASDIN, AS HE WILL AUTMOTICALLY REMOVE ANY OUTCAST POWER ARMOR THAT YOU ARE WEARING.
